Yakima Valley Memorial Outpatient Psychiatric Services treats adult patients for a broad spectrum of mental health concerns. Appointments are held in our office using HIPAA compliant video-conference technology with our providers who are located off-site. Our staff will collaborate with the patient, the patient's primary care physician and the patient's family in identifying the causes of distress and developing a plan to resolve those problems. The staff will then help patients to carry out those plans.

Rhonda Nicole Sims, MD
From Muncie, IN and completed undergraduate education at Ball State University with a major in biology and minor in psychology. Went on to study medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and completed residency there, as well. Board certified in Psychiatry since 2011 and have practiced in Indiana, Virginia and Colorado. Now offering services in Washington state.
Interest in the field includes depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, women's mental health and character pathology. Experienced in a variety of therapy modalities with a focus and interest in cognitive behavioral therapy and schema therapy.
Married since 2009 and mother to a child with Autism and four fur-children. Hobbies include boxing, kickboxing, strength training for exercise and love baking and spending time in the kitchen.
Treatment philosophy is patient-focused and driven with the role of the provider as part of the navigation system on the journey of wellness and mental health.
