Hospitalist (Multiple Openings) in Yakima, WA

Provide medical direction for the hospital’s health care activities. Interview, examine and treat clinical patients to meet their medical needs. Educate patients on wellness, prevention and early detection. Determine referrals based on examination and patient needs. Determine level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments. Order tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient condition and analyze reports and findings. Prescribe or recommend medications and other forms of treatment. Exercise final medical judgment on issues of health care and review long term-cases that require ongoing medical attention. Consult with appropriate professionals regarding patient care and educational issues. Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other established patient care programs. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to applicable regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must possess:

· An M.D. or D.O. degree, or the foreign equivalent.

· Washington State Physician and Surgeon License or a Washington State Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon License, or eligibility for licensure.

· Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, or eligibility for certification.

· Completion of an ACGME- or COCA-accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.

· Unrestricted DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) Certificate.

Internal Medicine Physician in Yakima, WA

Multiple (2) Positions Open

Responsible for providing high quality and cost-effective medical management of patients. Diagnose and provide non-surgical treatment for diseases and injuries for patients 16 years of age and older. Provide internal medicine and/or critical care services to patients. Diagnose and treat a wide range of problems associated with the internal organs, such as the stomach, kidneys, liver, and digestive tract. Utilize a variety of diagnostic techniques to treat patients through medication or hospitalization and refer patients to specialists when more complex care is required. Provide appropriate communication to specialists in order to ensure continuity of care.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must possess:

· An M.D. or D.O. degree, or the foreign equivalent.

· Completion of an accredited US residency program in Internal Medicine.

· Washington State Physician and Surgeon License or a Washington State Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon License, or eligibility for licensure.

· Current DEA registration

Pulmonary and Critical Care Physicians (Multiple Openings

Pulmonary and Critical Care Physicians (Multiple Openings) in Yakima, WA

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Diagnose and treat patients with a wide spectrum of pulmonary disorders, including asthma, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), tuberculosis and other complicated chest diseases. Evaluate pulmonary function testing, consult with patients and physicians to determine the appropriate extent of illness, or help diagnose the condition. In our Intensive Care Unit, function as the Intensivist: admit intubated patients and patients on vasopressors, coordinate care with Hospitalists, perform critical care procedures including insertion of central lines, chest tubes and endotracheal intubations. Provide training in these procedures to respiratory therapists and ICU nurses.

Applicants must possess:

· An M.D. (Medical Doctor) or D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathy) degree, or the foreign equivalent.

· Completion of an ACGME- or COCA-accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics

· Completion of a US fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care

· Washington State Physician and Surgeon License or a Washington State Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon License, or eligibility for licensure.

· DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) Registration in Washington State

What happens after I apply? How long will the process take?

Once you apply, you will receive an automated email to confirm that we received your application. Someone from our recruitment team will review your application and will reach out as soon as possible if they are interested in moving you forward in the process. What can I expect in the interview process?

If we are interested in moving you through the process, you will receive a call or email from a Human Resources representative. They will be able to discuss the position with you further and will schedule a time for an in-person interview. The interview process can vary slightly depending on the position. After interviews have been completed, finalists are asked to submit references.
