Commitment to our community

Memorial’s community benefits include education, charity care, subsidized health services, community health improvement activities and more.

Community benefits are programs and activities that are built upon our belief that improving health will transform Yakima. By promoting health and healing as a response to community needs, serving vulnerable populations and building partnerships, Memorial joins community members in making Yakima a vibrant and healthy place to live, work and raise families. It is more than treating the sick; it is supporting healthy families—physically, socially and economically.

Memorial’s community benefits include education, charity care, subsidized health services, community health improvement activities and more.

Supporting a healthy Yakima

Health needs and disparities in our community have been identified through our Community Health Needs Assessment. We are addressing those needs in a variety of ways and are focusing on diabetes, obesity and access to care. By collaborating with our partners, we serve over 22,000 community members each year through outreach, education and health screenings.

Grateful patients and families

At Memorial Family of Services, more than 2,500 physicians, nurses and staff members dedicate their professional lives to making a difference—one patient, one child, one family at a time. Meet our grateful patients and hear their stories of determination and hope at yakimamemorial.org/GratefulPatients.
