YouthWorks Internship
The YouthWorks Internship program at Memorial Hospital allows high school juniors and seniors, ages 16-21, the opportunity to become intimately acquainted with the hospital organizational environment while learning career skills, contributing to the community, and gaining tools to set and reach their personal goals.
The program is broken into three sessions. During the ten-week summer session, interns volunteer 20 hours per week in Memorial departments. Fall and spring internship sessions run 16 weeks. Student interns volunteer 10 hours per week in a Memorial department during these sessions.

Students are referred to the program by school counselors, social workers, case managers and alternative/night school staff. Applicants should be a junior or senior at the time of application, making satisfactory progress toward graduation by maintaining a 2.5 GPA. Interested students should contact one of these people for more information and an application.
