Injury Care Management and
Pre-Employment Services
Memorial’s 16th Avenue Station is a Washington State designated Center of Occupational Health and Education (COHE). Working closely with Labor and Industries, the staff works to improve physical outcomes for patients while reducing the cost for the employers.
Our medical providers understand that work place injuries can be costly, resulting in time-loss and increased workers' compensation premiums. The staff at Memorial’s 16th Avenue Station emphasizes case management and close communication with employers. Employees receive quality medical care and are able to return to work faster with a personalized stabilization plan. Our orthopaedics program reduces the wait time and improves our ability to provide a continuum of care.
Pre-employment services at Memorial’s 16th Avenue Station include drug screening, commercial drivers license and fitness-for-duty examinations to ensure a healthy workforce. A medical review officer gives employers access to a local physician to interpret drug screen results and explain the science involved.
