For Patients and Visitors
Patient Services
Memorial’s volunteers provide the following services for our patients:
- Free Yakima Herald-Republic newspaper daily upon request.
- Magazines.
- Stationary and envelopes.
- Pick up and delivery of particular food or beverages from Memorial’s Café (with the approval of a nurse or dietitian). Items are charged to the patient’s room.
- Pick up and delivery of special requested items such as espresso, a gift shop item, flowers, stamps, etc. Volunteers will collect money upon delivery.
We also have a limited number of items available on loan:
- Playing cards.
- Word search books.
- Crossword books.
- Paperback books.
Our friendly, helpful and compassionate volunteers feel good about helping our patients and their friends and families.
