How Memorial's Pricing Compares

Hospital Pricing

The Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA) and its member hospitals provide consumers with information to help them make decisions about health care. This information allows consumers to make informed choices about where they seek care. It also helps policy makers and the public measure the cost and quality of hospital care. This section of the WSHA website provides information on hospital pricing, quality and patient perception of care.

How Memorial's Pricing Compares

  • Of the 25 medical procedures reported for both Memorial and our nearest competitition, Memorial's charges are lower for every procedure.
  • Of the 25 procedures reported for Memorial, Memorial's charges are lower than the state average for every procedure.

Quality Measures and Patient Perception of Care

Hospital Compare is part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (DMS) Hospital Quality Initiative and provides information about the quality of care at over 4,000 Medicare-certified hospitals across the country. You can use Hospital Compare to find hospitals, compare the quality of their care and view the results of patient surveys.

  • Hospital Quality Measures - Data regarding selected quality measures such as heart attack and heart failure.
  • Patient Perception of Care - The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) asks patients who have recently received care to give their opinion of that care. The chart below represents patient satisfaction data from Memorial Hospital and Memorial's outpatient clinics.
