The goals of Memorial's rehabilitation services are:
Memorial offers rehabilitation services at the main hospital campus.
Occupational Therapy works to improve a person's ability to do the everyday activities (occupations) that are important to them. This may include improving fine motor control to enable self-care skills such as dressing, feeding, and bathing or developing the cognitive skills needed for more complex occupations such as cooking or driving. Occupational Therapy focuses on the "fit" between the individual, the occupation and the environment. By working to help people develop skills, learn new adaptive strategies, and/or modify the environment, OT enables them to function more fully in their environment.
